The site is part of the garden of Holmesdale, a detached house built in 1929 as a wedding present for the Mullins family who lived there till the Dadson family bought it in 1991.

It was sold with outline planning permission for a dwelling on the land at the rear. The land has been used as a wild garden while the children grew up but now the family want to build the new house for them to live in.
